Description

Amidst great interest and expectation of Korean people and film workers of the world, the 15th Pyongyang International Film Festival was successfully opened from September 16th to September 23rd, 2016 in Pyongyang, the capital city of DPR Korea. 39 people of 23 delegations from 15 countries were participated. Over 100 pieces of films were selected and through the hot competition Korean Film “The Story of Our Home” was awarded the Torch Prize, top prize of the festival. At closing ceremony, with thankful mind on taking all measures for festival to be opened successfully, festival participants presented a letter of thanks to the respected comrade Kim Jong Un. During the festival, film workers of different countries participated in Korean Film Show and film exchange and exchanged experiences and suggestion on film world and also discussed practical matters to develop cooperation and exchange in film field with our country including film export, ordering films and cooperation.
